Pathways to low carbon mobility are presented and discussed in the context of the trajectory towards net zero carbon. A full lifecycle approach is needed to make a fair comparison between different pathways. Choosing the right fuel can also play a key role in minimising “tank to wheels” emissions: this point is illustrated looking at various examples.
